About Clark

Clark is a husband, father of three, and proud Douglas County resident. He and his wife are raising their children—ages 12, 10, and 7—here in the community they love, with all three kids attending local public charter schools.
As a teacher, Clark experienced the long nights of lesson planning and the unmatched pride that comes from seeing students thrive. As a principal, he learned firsthand how strong leadership, clear vision, and community connections can transform a school. Now, as an Executive Director, he leads with passion and purpose, believing that effective leadership can create meaningful, lasting change for students and educators alike.
Long before he became an educator, Clark’s path to education was unconventional. After graduating from Arapahoe High School, Clark went on to earn a degree in Communications and Economics from the University of Northern Colorado and an MBA from Fairfield University. Once his education was complete, Clark took a summer job teaching swimming at a camp for New York City youth. That summer, he fell in love twice: with teaching, and with the camp director, now his wife.
Clark went on to teach Business, English, and Math just outside New York City and later earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership. Over the next 22 years, he grew into leadership roles as a principal and now Executive Director, always driven by a belief in high expectations, authentic relationships, and data-driven decision-making.
After moving back to Colorado 13 years ago, Clark accepted one of his most challenging and rewarding roles: leading the turnaround of an alternative high school in Denver. Under his leadership, and in partnership with a dedicated team, the school transformed from the brink of closure into a thriving multi-campus model that makes a difference in the lives of young people every day.
Whether in the classroom, walking the hallways as a Principal, or the carpool lane, Clark has never lost sight of the core purpose of public education: helping every student succeed. With a wealth of knowledge and experience as both a parent and a career educator, he is running for the DCSD Board of Education to champion excellence, expand opportunity, and build trust in our schools.
